Tankless Water Heater Market is estimated to register a steady CAGR of close to 6% over the forecast period of 2021-2031

The Future of Electric Tankless Water Heater

Tankless water heaters in commercial and retail businesses have experienced significant growth over the past three or four years. "I expect it will only continue to grow exponentially in the future as owners, specifiers and contractors experience and witness the benefits of efficient tankless domestic hot water systems," said Rebecca, Anto's head of marketing. “Cost, ease of installation, ventilation, operational efficiency, ease of maintenance and service, redundancy, and positioning capabilities make the most sense compared to other options.” At the same time, peers have seen no The tank's continued upward trend.

"Tankless technology will continue to climb steadily as the technology of choice for heating water," Rebecca said. "With energy and space-saving tankless technology, business owners will continue to push tankless technology as their hot water solution. As we meet with more plumbing engineers, they also see what tankless can offer their customers value, and assigned more work."

The growing trend of smaller footprint stores and the rise of foodservice takeout are two key reasons for vertical use of tankless tankless water heaters in the near term.

“In the long run, I see improvements in tankless technology, footprint and performance that will make it the best option for every commercial vertical,” he said.

Rebecca said the "tankless" he's been hearing from customers will continue to gain momentum.

"In the short term, based on what I've heard in the field, more engineers, architects and specifiers will continue to go without tanks to improve their operational efficiency," he said. "Some plumbers say they need to reduce their energy consumption by 40-50%, which further illustrates the case for tankless water heaters.

"Longer term, over the next five years or so, more and more states and municipalities will want to go tankless in order to conserve fossil fuels and meet their conservation and sustainability goals."

When it comes to tankless technology, it comes down to continued trust among building owners, operators and peers, Rebecca said.

"Our industry is sometimes hesitant to adopt new technology when the status quo is sufficient, even if it's not perfect," she said, "but I believe that tankless technology will eventually become the default hot water method for many commercial industries."
